It’s an environment where engineering is a craft, and builders become leaders.</p> <p><strong>What you’ll do</strong></p> <p>As a Software Engineer on our Activation team, you will work across the entire Brex stack to build solutions that will quickly and efficiently get credit and risk-worthy customers through the onboarding and activation funnel while decreasing time-to-ramp for new customers.</p> <p><strong>Where you’ll work</strong></p> <p>This role will be based in our São Paulo office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of two coordinated days in the office per week, Wednesday and Thursday. Starting February 2, 2026, we will require 3 days per week in the office - Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with engineers across the company to build new features and products end-to-end.</li> <li>Work alongside user-facing teams like Sales and Support to deeply understand our customers' needs.</li> <li>Design and implement solutions to improve our customers' banking experiences.</li> <li>Own problems end-to-end, from user experience and data models to scalability, operability, and ongoing metrics.</li> <li>Tune and polish features to a high degree of excellence.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>4+ years of full-time experience with a focus on Backend development</li> <li>Experience architecting, developing, and testing client-side code end-to-end.</li> <li>A high bar for engineering standards and a willingness to learn.</li> <li>Strong written and verbal English communication and interpersonal abilities</li> <li>Strong curiosity for digging deep into the technical problems, and strong ownership capable of delivering high quality solutions</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>Please be aware, job-seekers may be at risk of targeting by malicious actors looking for personal data.
