About this role

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the preparation of raw materials and ingredients that are needed to be added into the formulation.
  • Adhering to the standard practices across the whole process for accurately weighing, measuring and mixing, through to the packing and labeling of finished goods. 
  • Prepare the production equipment by the QSHE standards and regulatory frameworks for the formulation/blending to take place within the factory
  • Preparation of raw materials in line with set work instructions including:
    • Accurately weighing, measuring, and mixing raw ingredients
    • Operating blending machines
    • Checking stock, and reviewing production schedule for all the relevant information for the raw materials into the formulation/blend
    • Ensuring the blending processes are followed accurately to ensure a high-quality batch is made/produced
  • Comply with general safety directions for the workplace and those prescribed for each new formulation
  • Packaging and labeling of finished goods
  • Completion of associated documentation for each of the new blends
  • Recording orders for traceability and for dispatch to the Warehouse Team
  • Ensure regular and routine maintenance and cleaning is carried out where appropriate
  • Adhere to the approved Standard of Practice
  • Any other duties requested from time to time by the supervisor

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing/blending/raw ingredients preparation
  • Working knowledge and experience in the food industry (raw ingredients) advantageous
  • A forklift license would be advantageous
  • Understanding of HACCP and Certificate 2 or 3 in Food Processing would be highly regarded
