Job Responsibilities:

To perform truck repair and maintenance functions

• Maintain the fleet with preventative maintenance and routine repair
• Some repair may happen in the field or on the street away from the office.

Ability to perform and/or service other class 3-8 truck equipment and general maintenance functions such as troubleshooting, lubricating, adjustments, replace and repairing parts as needed

Intermediate understanding of electrical systems, computer-controlled engine diagnostics, and basic related controls.

Maintain cost in department (parts, cleaning supplies, etc.).

Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or its equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in RELATED FIELD or equivalent education
• Basic PC skills using MS Office
• Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
• Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Class B CDL
• Electric lift truck experience
• Basic set of mechanics’ hand and air-operated power tools

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent walking and standing
• Frequent lifting up to 20 pounds
• Frequent kneeling, bending, climbing, twisting, climbing
• Occasional crawling, reaching
• Occasional carrying and lifting up to 50 pounds to perform various duties as assigned
• Occasional pushing and pulling up to 10 - 20 pounds

Any offered salary is determined based on the Union collective bargaining agreement.

Hourly Rate: $34.75-39.25/hr.

This position is eligible for union benefits including health care, life insurance, paid time off, and retirement benefits.
