Job Description Summary:

Breakthru Beverage Group (BBG) is seeking an accomplished Director of Infrastructure Engineering & Cloud Transformation to lead our enterprise-wide migration from on-premises infrastructure to AWS, modernize our SAP landscape, and support implementation of Snowflake as our enterprise data
platform. This role is central to enabling BBG’s AI and digital commerce capabilities and driving our mission to become the most technologically advanced distributor in the industry.

The Director will partner closely with the VP of Corporate Platforms and executive leadership, architecting scalable, secure, and cost-optimized solutions.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with proven leadership, change management, and stakeholder engagement skills to deliver best-in-class agility, resiliency, and performance. Success in this role will be measured by clear KPIs, including migration timelines, operational cost savings, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Job Description:

This role follows a flexible hybrid schedule, with two days per week in the office and three days working from home. This role can be performed from any Breakthru Beverage Office Location.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Strategy & Transformation Leadership
    • Serve as the primary technical leader for cloud transformation initiatives that enable scalable AI/ML workloads and digital commerce
    • Define cloud architecture standards, migration strategies, and technology investment priorities aligned with the company’s digital transformation roadmap
    • Guide application and platform leaders in evaluating workloads and determining migration approaches with long-term AI readiness and business value in mind
    • Identify, evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and innovations, including generative AI and new AWS services to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Cloud Platform Engineering & DevOps
    • Establish scalable cloud platform and Infrastructure-as-Code standards to enable consistent, repeatable, and secure deployments across teams.
    • Build and integrate CI/CD pipelines, embedding IaC into continuous integration and deployment workflows (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
    • Drive automation to improve reliability, scalability, and speed of delivery
  • Governance, Risk & Operational Excellence
    • Establish and maintain cloud governance frameworks that enable rapid experimentation while ensuring security and compliance
    • Oversee operational excellence through automation, cost optimization, and reduction of human error
    • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex technical challenges during migration and transformation initiatives
  • Enterprise Transformation, Financial & Partner Management
    • Collaborate with SAP functional teams, AWS specialists, and implementation partners to deliver SAP ECC to SAP S/4 RISE on AWS migrations
    • Own cloud financial management, including budget planning, cost optimization strategy, and vendor performance management
    • Build and manage strategic relationships with cloud providers, implementation partners, and key vendors operational budgets, optimize cloud spend, and oversee vendor and partner relationships
  • Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology or related work experience
  • 10+ years of IT infrastructure experience with 5+ years in cloud technologies
  • 3+ years in leadership roles managing technical teams
  • Proven track record of successful large-scale cloud migrations (preferably AWS)
  • Experience with SAP infrastructure and migrations (SAP S/4 on RISE experience highly preferred)
  • Knowledge of AWS migration tools (Migration Hub, Application Migration Service, Database Migration Service)
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar)
  • Strong experience working with technology partners, system integrators, and managing operational budgets
  • Experience successfully managing an operational budget
  • Excellent prioritization, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Strategic thinking, conceptual problem-solving, and adaptability
  • People management responsibility for reviews, performance management, training, and resource planning
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement across technical and business domains
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.)
  • Understanding of AWS AI/ML services (SageMaker, Bedrock, and emerging agentic AI capabilities)
  • Strong understanding of SAP technical architecture and AWS deployment models
  • Knowledge of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments

Salary and Benefit Statement:

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience.

  • Salary/Rate Range: $160,000.00 - 200,000.00
  • This position is eligible to participate in a bonus program. Metrics and level of participation are determined annually.
  • This position is eligible for health care benefits, life insurance, time off benefits and participation in the Company’s 401(k) plan
