Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to lead daily store operations in a premium specialty retail environment. The Store Manager is responsible for driving sales performance, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and managing all aspects of people leadership, operations, and store standards.
Leadership & Team Management
- Act as the primary Manager on Duty, overseeing all store opening and closing procedures and holding full keyholder responsibility
- Lead, coach, and motivate the store team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop team members
- Set performance expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and support employee development
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
Customer Experience
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional, personalized customer service
- Resolve escalated customer concerns and returns professionally and efficiently
- Represent company values and product excellence as a brand ambassador
- Support growth of B2B sales by identifying potential business clients and coordinating corporate or bulk orders
Store Operations
- Oversee all day-to-day store operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies
- Prepare and analyze sales performance reports and take action to drive results
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and labor optimization
- Place and manage product orders to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Uphold health and safety standards and promote a strong culture of compliance
Visual Merchandising & Inventory
- Ensure execution and compliance with visual merchandising standards
- Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, receiving, and shrink prevention
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment
Cash & Financial Management
- Oversee cash handling procedures, POS compliance, and daily bank deposits
- Ensure accuracy in cash controls and adherence to financial policies
Qualifications & Skills
- 7 to 10 years of retail management experience, preferably in specialty or premium retail or in a comparable leadership role
- Strong sales leadership skills with a track record of driving KPIs
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with POS systems, cash management, and retail reporting
- Solid understanding of inventory management and visual merchandising standards
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced retail environment
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Passion for premium retail and specialty food products
- Bilingual in French and English
