YOUR ROLE AS A: Principal AI Solutions Architect

As a Principal AI Solutions Architect, you will lead the technical adoption and success of the AirAsia Next Agentic AI Platform. This role is central to AirAsia Next's business strategy to power a diverse ecosystem of brands. You will empower our licensees by providing them with a prescribed architectural blueprint, expert guidance, and access to a holistic suite of services. Your work will directly enable them to build their own innovative AI solutions with speed, security, and confidence.

WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION:

• Lead AI Research & Innovation: Be a pioneer by continuously evaluating emerging AI trends and protocols. Synthesize insights from independent research, licensee feedback, and strategic partner discussions to ensure our ecosystem remains at the cutting edge.

• Architect the Blueprint: Author and maintain the core architectural blueprints for our agentic ecosystem. Define and evangelize our prescribed patterns for A2A communication, MCP-mediated resource access, and serverless best practices.

• Drive Strategic Adoption: Own the technical relationship with our licensees, driving strategic adoption of the core technology stack, including Gemini Enterprise and Code Assist, to accelerate their development cycles.

• Act as a Technical Consultant Partner: Provide expert guidance to AirAsia Next partnerships and licensees on complex architectural decisions to ensure accelerated AI onboarding and self-development of AI agents and solutions.

• Guide Licensees to Ecosystem Value: Act as the gateway to the broader strategic partnership. Guide licensees on how to leverage the full suite of integrated ecosystem services, including data analytics, enterprise SSO, cybersecurity support, and market access opportunities.

• Lead Developer Enablement & Education for Licensed Brands: Create and share brand-agnostic agent templates and reference implementations. Contribute directly to the curriculum of Academy by AirAsia Next to systematically upskill licensee teams.

• Own Foundational Services: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of the core templates and services you build—including instrumentation, monitoring, and operational support—to ensure their performance and availability as foundational components for the ecosystem.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:

• Licensee Success: Measured by the licensee's ability to successfully build, deploy, and scale their AI products on the platform.

• Platform Adoption: Drive the adoption rate of our prescribed AI architecture, core services, and shared agent templates across all licensees.

• Ecosystem Integration: Track the successful integration of licensees with broader ecosystem services (e.g., Data Analytics, Cybersecurity) as a result of your and departmental guidance.

• Enablement Impact: Measure the velocity and capability uplift of licensee teams, evidenced by their ability to independently innovate and deliver on their roadmaps.

WHO YOU ARE:

• Experience: 6-9 years of professional software development, with a track record of shipping and maintaining production-level code. This is a senior individual contributor role.

• Backend & SDLC: Expert proficiency in Python and hands-on experience across the entire SDLC, including building and consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs.

• Cloud Proficiency: Deep expertise in designing, deploying, and managing production workloads on GCP, particularly with services like Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, GKE, and BigQuery.

• AI Data Foundations: Proven experience transforming unstructured data for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and other AI applications.

• Security Mindset: Practical experience implementing security best practices (e.g., ACLs, IAM, data encryption) in cloud-native applications.

• AI & ML Tooling: Hands-on experience with GenAI technologies (e.g., Google Vertex AI), vector databases, and frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.

• Critical Thinking: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex business needs into robust and scalable technical solutions.
