Drive Environmental Excellence as Our Waste Stream Technician!

 

Step into an essential Waste Stream Technician role where you'll be the environmental steward ensuring sustainable operations across all five base areas at The Summit at Snoqualmie while providing specialized recycling services for Dru Bru. As our sustainability operations specialist, you'll coordinate comprehensive waste management systems that protect our mountain environment while maintaining operational excellence.


Responsibilities

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Execute comprehensive multi-site operations by traveling between all five base areas at The Summit at Snoqualmie to coordinate efficient waste collection from designated collection points while maintaining operational schedules.
  • Ensure environmental compliance excellence by implementing proper waste disposal procedures in correct receptacles according to facility guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Champion sustainability initiatives by expertly sorting and processing recyclable and compostable materials during disposal operations to maximize environmental impact and maintain compliance standards.
  • Master specialized equipment operation by safely and efficiently operating heavy waste collection vehicles, compactors, and related machinery while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain operational excellence by ensuring cleanliness and organization of waste collection areas and dumpster locations that reflect our commitment to environmental stewardship.
  • Optimize collection efficiency by monitoring waste receptacle capacity and proactively scheduling collections to prevent overflow and maintain seamless operations.
  • Execute preventive maintenance protocols by performing routine equipment checks and maintaining operational readiness of waste collection equipment.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • Meet essential requirements by being 18 years or older with demonstrated maturity and responsibility for independent operations across multiple locations.
  • Possess valid driver's license and maintain clean driving record essential for safe operation of collection vehicles and travel between base areas.
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety by showing ability and willingness to learn specialized heavy equipment operation while maintaining strict safety protocols.
  • Master clear communication excellence in English, both verbal and written, for effective coordination with team members, management, and regulatory compliance reporting.

Wage and Benefit Info:

The wage range for this positions is: from $24.00 to $26.00/hr 

This is a non-benefited role.

All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff).

All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
