Overview

Brighton Resort is looking for fun, energetic, and enthusiastic people to join our Transportation Team! Shuttle Drivers play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming, and memorable mountain experience for every guest and employee. This position is perfect for those who enjoy working with people, being part of a close-knit team, and sharing the excitement of skiing and snowboarding with our guests.

 

Shuttle Drivers focus on safety, efficiency, and guest service while operating resort shuttle vehicles. Duties include safely loading and unloading passengers, operating a 22 passenger 4x4 vehicle in various weather conditions, maintaining a safe transportation environment, and helping guests and employees get to their destinations while they enjoy "The Greatest Snow on Earth." We'll provide additional training specific to resort operations and guest service! If you love the mountains, thrive in a dynamic outdoor environment, would like more CDL driving experience, and enjoy transporting passengers on a very short route, we'd love to have you on the team!

Availability

Full-Time Shuttle Driver positions, defined as working more than 32 hours per week. You should be available for at least five shifts per week, including at least one day shift, one evening shift, and one shift on Friday or Saturday.

Part-Time Shuttle Driver positions, defined as working fewer than 32 hours per week. You should be available for at least two shifts per week, with three preferred, and at least one shift on Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday.

All drivers must be available to work during peak holiday periods.

Responsibilities

As a Shuttle Driver you will contribute to Brighton's LEADS values by

 

Prioritize Safety by:

  • Staying alert to road hazards, following all driving and emergency procedures, and making safe decisions in every driving situation
  • Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensuring all passengers are safely seated before departing

Serve First by:

  • Greeting every passenger with a friendly, approachable presence, offering assistance with boarding and gear storage
  • Helping guests and employees feel comfortable and welcome during transport
  • Acting as a Brighton ambassador, answering questions about conditions, events, destinations, and helping passengers get the most from their day

  • Staying positive and composed in all weather and traffic situations, making safety your top priority while delivering excellent service
  • Maintaining professionalism with diverse groups of guests and employees

  • Operating vehicles according to all DOT regulations and resort procedures
  • Adjusting driving for weather and road conditions to ensure passenger safety
  • Completing daily vehicle logs and inspections accurately
  • Responding quickly and effectively to unusual situations, from assisting passengers with mobility needs to following emergency procedures
  • Managing passenger loading efficiently while maintaining safety standards

Qualifications

Requirements:

This position may be for you if you:

  • You're 21 years of age or older
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Hold a valid Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement
  • Have a clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years
  • Can lift up to 50 lbs and assist passengers with equipment
  • Are comfortable driving in all weather conditions including snow and ice
  • Can ski or snowboard safely at a beginner level (preferred but not required)
  • Have strong communication skills and a focus on safety and passenger service
  • Can stay attentive and focused while driving for extended periods
  • Are committed to following all DOT safety regulations and addressing hazards immediately
  • Want to work with teammates and passengers from diverse backgrounds
  • Are available to work holidays and a mix of day/evening shifts
  • Can reliably get to and from the resort in various weather conditions
  • Are comfortable driving larger vehicles and navigating mountain roads

Drug Testing

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test prior to operating a commercial vehicle
  • Subject to random drug and alcohol testing while employed in a safety-sensitive CDL position
  • Required to complete post-accident drug and alcohol testing under applicable FMCSA rules
  • May be required to test if there is reasonable suspicion of drug or alcohol use while on duty
  • If previously in violation, must comply with return-to-duty and follow-up testing requirements per FMCSA regulations

Preferred

  • Are experienced in commercial driving, transportation, or safety-critical roles
  • Have hospitality, recreation, or guest service experience
  • Previous experience driving in mountain/winter conditions
