Big Sky Resort is seeking a full-time seasonal Mail Room Attendant to receive, sort, process, and distribute mail and packages from our central hub located in the Huntley/Shoshone Lodge. This role supports both guests and team members and requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who can deliver exceptional hospitality while managing daily operational demands.


Responsibilities

  • Provide professional, friendly, and courteous service to guests, team members, and vendors at all times
  • Receive, sort, and process all incoming mail and packages delivered to the Resort mailroom
  • Ship outgoing mail and process returns accurately and efficiently
  • Support team members with guest mailing needs, ensuring proper handling and timely delivery
  • Assist with scheduling, workflow coordination, and basic supervisory tasks within the mailroom
  • Perform project-related tasks including sorting projects, inventory organization, and mailroom upkeep
  • Conduct regular town runs to Bozeman and coordinate vendor pickups as needed
  • Deliver packages to Resort guests, owners, and internal departments

Qualifications

  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred; leadership or supervisory experience a plus
  • Prior mailroom or shipping/receiving experience preferred but not required
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, and Apple iOS platforms
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to handle confidential information discretely and professionally
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift)

  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and move packages repeatedly

  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions as needed

  • Ability to operate company vehicles for town runs and package deliveries
