About this role

We are currently hiring a Packaging Operator in Breinigsville, PA to work our Night Shift, 5:45 PM – 6:00 AM.

As a Packaging Operator, you will receive training in all areas of the Packaging Department and become skilled in operating all equipment within your designated work area. 

Shift Details – Night Shift

We offer two rotating night shift schedules:

: Sunday through Tuesday, plus every other Saturday

: Wednesday through Friday, plus every other Saturday

Shift Hours: 5:30 PM to 6:00 AM

Please note: Candidates must be available for either schedule, including alternating Saturdays.

What You'll Brew:

  • Perform Quality checks, testing, and complete paperwork as required
  • Conduct proper sanitation duties. This involves the complete cleaning of all the equipment within the facility.
  • Foaming equipment, hoses, brooms, shovels, brushes, scrapers, squeegees, and the numerous chemicals that are necessary to sanitize the designated site
  • Have a functional understanding of computer systems and automated equipment to input data as required.
  • Communicate with coworkers through various channels, including, but not limited to face to face interactions, brewery phones, and radios
  • Work autonomously to perform operational, cleaning, inspection, and minor lubrication tasks as required
  • Follow manufacturing best practices implemented within the department, such as equipment center lining, visualization, and 6S. Make recommendations for the process
  • Operate forklifts as required
  • Utilize lean manufacturing methodologies in daily standard work to drive improvements in safety, quality, and overall line performance
  • Assist other operators and departments in training, repair work, and equipment operation as needed
  • Tolerate summer/winter temperature conditions and hot and cold room environments

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, sometimes repeatedly
  •  Regular walking and standing for long periods of time (up to 11 hours a day) on concrete, metal and grated surfaces
  •  Responsibilities may require crouching, stepping over, crawling under, bending, twisting, climbing and reaching above head and shoulders repeatedly throughout the day
  •  Responsibilities may require climbing flights of stairs, working from heights or on elevated platforms
  •  Ability to wear assigned PPE (safety shoes, gloves, facemask, hearing protection and hard hat)
  •  Established dexterity so you can handle materials, operate equipment and interface with computer systems with precision
  •  Some roles (e.g., forklift operator) may require to sit for a prolonged period of time and have strong peripheral vision and depth perception Working Conditions
  •  There is frequent exposure to production environments:
  •  Subject to loud and constant noise 
  •  Non-environmentally conditioned spaces which may lead to extreme hot and cold 
  • The operating environment is complex and densely populated with production equipment and forklifts, that necessitates high situational awareness 
  • Work overtime as needed, which may require 12-hour days, weekends, and holidays completed

What Ingredients You'll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1+ years experience with High speed CPG manufacturing 
  • Forklift experience 
  • Proficient with Computer systems and automated equipment
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Must be able to learn and accurately utilize company systems; operate computers and automated equipment and input data as required
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms
  • Must be able to work assigned shifts as needed
  • Ability to lift to 60 lbs repetitively throughout the shift
  • Be able to stand, twist, and bend as required for 90% of the work schedule
  • Work overtime as needed, which may require 12-hour days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Level 9

In accordance with pay transparency laws the pay rate for this role if hired is $22.40 per hour.
