The purpose of this position is to translate deployed strategy and business objectives from customers and stakeholders into operational excellence by enhancing value stream efficiency and effectiveness through innovative technical solutions on existing processes and MAEs, while also administering the IPN lead plant functions as applicable.
Capacity and process Development : Plan and assess the gap, implement & continually develop a manufacturing value addition flow with resources and innovative solutions (E.g. process change, CT reduction etc.) to meet technical capacity and customer requirements. Initiate change note for Tg rationalization projects to IE and Union
Value stream Planning: Assess internal & external requirements (e.g. BU, Plant, VS, BP, customer), true north and VS vision, support in developing future state VSD with focus topics, collaborate with Cross Functional stake holders to identify, drive and implement projects to improve Value stream efficiency & achieve operational excellence.
Management of Production Processes : Implement customer specific and product requirements, establish/develop the processes (e.g. CpK study, PPAP, routing & ROS etc), controls to manage processes (e.g. FMEA, BBM process compass, WI, etc), methods to track & monitor customer requirements, reaction to non-conforming parts to ensure defect free products.
Cost Management and contingency planning: Estimate & propose budgets for planning periods to run operations, fulfil demands and execute development projects. Plan and implement VAO cost reduction projects to meet cost/pc. targets at VS level. Develop and implement actions & validate contingency plans to evaluate risk and ensure business continuity.
IPN functions : Administer IPN lead plant functions - present focus projects, assess and oversee volume allocation, TEK and ECR for manufacturing. Co-ordinate PPR meetings with IPN management, Collaborate with controlling to determine and allocate cost to IPN.
Problem Solving : Initiate and execute solution to complex problem independently to improve VS performance. Contribute innovative solutions to Purchase organization for improve Material cost reduction projects (e.g MATATHON). Develop competencies at shopfloor on processes to promote problem solving using DOE (e.g. Shainin)
