PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction has begun in May 2021 and first series of production to commence in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.

Job Description

  • Trigger engineers in the event of non-conformities are found.
  • Perform conversion inspection check according to the work instruction.
  • Performing change over at the tools.
  • Perform 5S for individual workstation.
  • Carry out production check list for every shift.
  • Participate in Production Suggestion System (PSS).
  • Compulsory to understand and follow ESD procedure.
  • Check required poka-yoke and give information to engineers.
  • Contributing in the Systematic Continuous Improvement Process (S-CIP)
  • In case of known deviation, perform technical problem solving.
  • Support and advice the operators in running the manufacturing tools possibly without interruptions.
  • Provide first and second-line technical support to IT team, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Assist with network administration tasks including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems.
  • Monitor and raise IT tickets in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Basic understanding of networking (LAN/WAN, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP).

Qualifications

  • At least 1 to 2 years of working experience in the manufacturing environment in production environment
  • Diploma qualification is a must, preferably in Electrical & Electronics or Semiconductors production
  • Able to work as a team with good teamwork and maintain a healthy working environment
  • Able to communicate in cross functional way
  • Able to contribute the new idea for floor improvement
  • Knowledge in BPS tools, Poka-Yoke & Standardized work is an added advantage
