Job Description

The E-Box Team Lead is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily operations of electrical box assembly, wiring, testing, and kitting within the HVAC manufacturing process. This position ensures the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency while leading, developing, and supporting a team to meet production goals and maintain compliance with all electrical and manufacturing standards.

  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day operations in the Electrical Box (E-Box) assembly area to meet production targets and delivery schedules.
  • Assign tasks, monitor team performance, and provide hands-on support, coaching, and mentorship as needed.
  • Ensure wiring and electrical component installations follow schematics, diagrams, and work instructions precisely.
  • Perform and oversee functional testing of electrical assemblies to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks, including verification of wire routing, terminations, labeling, and connections.
  • Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, testing results, and inspection logs.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve issues affecting productivity or quality.
  • Train team members in proper wiring techniques, assembly standards, and safety practices.
  • Support and drive adherence to 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles to maintain a clean and efficient work environment.
  • Monitor material inventory and coordinate with materials management to avoid shortages or delays.
  • Support cross-training within the department to increase team flexibility and operational resilience.
  • Act as a liaison between team members and leadership, ensuring smooth communication and problem-solving.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trainer and mentor for new hires and cross-training initiatives.
  • Ensure all activities follow OSHA regulations and internal electrical safety standards.
  • Interpret and train others on electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineered-to-order (ETO) documentation.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions when quality or process issues arise.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement and Bosch Production System (BPS) initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical training or certification in electrical or electronics preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical assembly or wiring within a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical components, wiring practices, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and ETO documentation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to lead 8–15 team members.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and quality improvement tools.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding production environment.
  • Must be flexible and able to work overtime as required.
