About this role

BW Spain is looking for a Logistics Manager who will be responsible for the overall procurement of raw materials, supplies, and equipment for the organization.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for warehousing and distributing of raw materials, goods-in-process and finished goods while controlling and scheduling the material flow.

Directs receiving, stores and shipping operations.

Manages and trains junior managers.

Directs all the activities of material planning and control, including the development of objectives, policies and processes.

Provides advice and direction in practices for efficient material planning.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees purchase of all raw materials and equipment.

Manages the entire flow of materials from purchase to finished product.

Develops policies and procedures to ensure timely acquisition of materials in a cost effective way.

Manages and trains junior managers.

Confers with department managers to determine status of material need.

Develops and monitors the implementation of all policies and practices with regard to material planning and control.

Defines and issues instructions in terms of material planning and control.

Reviews material controlling reports, communicates with production department and other relevant departments, and makes recommendation to general management on the improvement of material stocking.

Manages and trains MPC staff.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications)

Bachelor Degree in related discipline.

MBA preferred.

8 years experience in logistics and SCM related field.

8 years of relevant experience supervising a group of managers in SCM and logistics functions.

Ability to develop employees and provide mentoring.

Recognized expert with ability to train others.

English Fluid

Valuable Basic training in Labor Risk Prevention (50 hours).
