The Certified Pharmacy Technician works as part of an interdisciplinary patient care team, and under the direction of the Pharmacist.</span></p><p></p><p><b>Essential Functions: </b></p><ul><li><p>Receiving and verifying the accuracy and authenticity of prescriptions</p></li><li><p>Reviewing and recording patient information with their prescription in compliance with the guidelines of the General Pharmaceutical Council</p></li><li><p>Providing instructions to educate people on the correct way to take their medicine</p></li><li><p>Supporting the Pharmacist in the daily operation of the pharmacy</p></li><li><p>Protecting employees and patients by adhering to infection-control protocols and policies</p></li><li><p>Other duties as assigned</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Education:</b></p><ul><li><p>High School Degree or GED</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Licensure/Certification:</b></p><ul><li><p>Valid ExCPT Certification provided by the National Health Career Association or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification and registration with State Board of Pharmacy (required)</p></li></ul><p><br /><b>Experience:</b></p><ul><li><p>Previous experience working in Retail, Ambulatory, Outpatient, Hospital, Acute Care, or Home Infusion Pharmacy (preferred)</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Skills & Abilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Ability to be proactive in a rapidly changing environment</p></li><li><p>Engage with staff and patients in a professional manner</p></li><li><p>Possesses problem-solving skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills</p></li><li><p>Requires knowledge of pharmacy terminology, medication names, and aseptic technique </p></li></ul><p>As a Bon Secours associate, you're part of a Mission that matters.
