What are your contributions to the team?

  • Manage and deliver on time, engineering projects and activities related to major milestones for one of many existing and/or new platforms;
  • Manage cross-functional teams in the establishment of scope, schedule and budget of engineering projects;
  • Lead and coordinate technical Engineering Change planning, ensuring completeness and harmonization with stakeholders;
  • Enforce adherence to Bombardier practices and Knowledge Standards to promote integrity and consistency in technical engineering activities
  • Work closely with technical experts, business leaders, suppliers, and customer representatives to ensure adherence and compliance of projects scope, schedule, and budget;
  • Manage and establish engineering related priorities between projects and activities, complete strategic schedule analysis, and communicate and harmonize these priorities;
  • Identify and report on risks and lead risk mitigation planning and execution;
  • Participate and/or coordinate within the internal safety and security processes to assess, contain, and correct potential product deficiencies with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Prepare and provide visibility of budget requirement / resource allocation;
  • Prepare and present visibility reports for the various levels of the organization;
  • Coordinate Integrated Product Development Team (IPDT) cross-functional reviews;
  • Coordinate and manage multi-site activities and remote participation as necessary;
  • Coordinate formal engineering document release (Drawings, ModSums, Compliance Documents, Service Bulletins etc..).

How to thrive in this role?

  • You have an Engineering degree, or relevant diploma with equivalent working experience, with 8-12 years in project management or aerospace;
  • You are familiar with Program/Project Management processes and principles;
  • You have sound aircraft technical and/or manufacturing experience;
  • You have previous experience in structural and / or systems development would be an asset.
  • You demonstrate a professional attitude and superior communication skills;
  • You have excellent organizational, time management skills, foresight, accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to objectives and responsibilities;
  • You have a  natural leadership and pro-active attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities;
  • You are self-motivated, autonomous, enthusiastic and results oriented;
  • You are technically curious;
  • You demonstrate ability to work willingly and independently in a fast paced, challenging environment;
  • You have effective problem-solving skills with ability to make good decisions to move projects along to meet or exceed the targets;
  • You have good computing skills; proficient in MS Office and experience with MS Excel and MS Project is an asset.
