Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Tool and Fixture Specialist Team Lead to join our Crane Team team in North Charleston, South Carolina on 3rd shift.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs complex tool setup activities (e.g., alignment, leveling). Performs visual inspections on tools using appropriate documentation.

  • Makes major repairs.

  • Manufactures assembly and fabrication tools using various manual and computer controlled machines, hand tools and precision alignment equipment.

  • Operates various factory support equipment to move materials and tools as required.

  • Provides tooling support to other organizations.

  • Designs various part fabrication and assembly tools per part engineering drawings or customer requests to enable production using computer or paper tool design processes.

  • Determines fabrication and assembly processes for the design.

  • Reverse engineers designs and fabrication processes for parts.

  • Demonstrates functionality of complex fabrication and assembly tools to approving authority by manufacturing first part with new tool.

  • Resolves problems with tool to produce acceptable parts and assemblies.

  • Works under general direction.

  • Must be crane certified

   

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC (BSC)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of Formal or Informal Leadership Experience

  • 3+ years' experience in manufacturing, fabrication, and aerospace

  • 1+ years of experience with 787 program operations

  • Ability work 3rd shift

  • Must be able to obtain a Fall Protection Certification

  • Must be crane certified

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience leading teams

  • 5+ years of experience with maintenance or repair machinery

  • 5+ years of experience with maintenance or repair of industrial equipment

  • 5+ years of being Crain certified in a manufacturing, Aerospace, or fabrication environment

  • Ability to maintain a periodic maintenance program in a production environment

  • 5+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Summary Pay Range Level C: $69,300-$73,000

Summary Pay Range Level D: $82,800-$87,500
