Our team at the BMW Group drives the implementation of new technologies as part of a consistent digitization strategy for the BMW production system. You will gain valuable insights into the development of scalable and secure Generative AI applications, focusing on platforms for efficient provisioning of LLM-based solutions in production environments.

 

What awaits you?

  • You will support our application codebase by reviewing existing projects, writing library modules and conducting integration tests.
  • Furthermore, you help to research and test strategies for knowledge retrieval and search.
  • In addition, you contribute to adapting and aligning language models and embeddings to specific use cases using advanced prompt and finetuning techniques.
  • Moreover, you will assist in designing, implementing and testing data preprocessing strategies.
  • You help to collect and implement customer feedback for your solutions.
  • Furthermore, you support communication and presentation of your work and ongoing developments in the LLM area within the team and the AI network.

 

What should you bring along?

  • Studies in computer science, mathematics, machine learning or a related field.
  • Experience with modern software development and tools such as GitHub, IDEs, agile models and Linux bash.
  • Strong practical experience in Python programming.
  • Solid knowledge of deep learning and natural language processing fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major LLM open source framework such as LangChain or Llama-Index.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and motivation to support independently.
  • Very good German and English skills.
