Our team at the BMW Group enables AI-powered automation for autonomous driving validation by building robust frameworks. Here, you will help turn research ideas into stable, operational systems and support the advancement of innovative driving simulation solutions.

 

What awaits you?

  • You will support our highly cooperative team to foster a positive and collaborative atmosphere.
  • Furthermore, you help to design and implement framework components such as APIs, pipelines, and service interfaces for end-to-end system operation.
  • In addition, you contribute to integrating and operating Open WebUI as a core interface layer and ensure smooth connectivity to external LLM providers.
  • Moreover, you will assist in implementing and operating the system on cloud infrastructure (AWS or Microsoft Azure), including configuration and secure access management.
  • You will help to ensure reliability and stability through automated testing and CI integration.
  • Additionally, you support the creation of detailed technical documentation to ensure long-term maintainability and knowledge transfer.

 

Please note that your thesis must be supervised by a university on your part.

 

What should you bring along?

  • Studies in computer science, software engineering or a related field.
  • Solid programming skills, for example in Python or similar.
  • Basic understanding of software engineering fundamentals such as APIs, version control and clean interfaces.
  • Experience with Docker and/or CI/CD is beneficial.
  • Interest in cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and building reliable, production-like systems is a plus.
  • Structured mindset, quality orientation and motivation to document your work thoroughly.
  • Good English skills.
