Mandatory in‑office attendance on designated days of the week, with the possibility of increasing required in‑office days over time.

The Wealth Reporting, Analytics and Automation will develop analytical and reporting solutions in close consultation with business stakeholders and functional partners, that are related to Wealth Analytics, reporting, automation and Legal, Regulatory and Compliance (LRC) requests as well as supporting broader data analytics responsibilities of the team. They will have strong ownership over all deliverables and guide on the configuration, applicability, and usability of data management, data analytics, and data visualization solutions to support these deliverables.

This role will support Wealth Analytics, reporting, automation and Legal, Regulatory and Compliance projects and generally support advanced analytics and data management.

  • Acts as a trusted advisor to assigned business groups.
  • Manages complex or challenging stakeholders through strong influencing and persuasive communication skills, ensuring alignment between business objectives and data needs.
  • Performs wealth analytics, reporting, automation, and transformation activities.
  • Applies LRC (Legal, Regulatory & Compliance) standards to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication.
  • Leads or participates in the design, implementation, and ongoing management of new analytics and reporting solutions.
  • Breaks down strategic issues and analyzes data to provide subject‑matter insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Structures and organizes data across multiple dimensions and granularities (e.g., demographics, customers, accounts, products, transactions).
  • Cleanses, manipulates, and transforms data through programming or scripting to support model development and validation.
  • Validates and tests analytical and reporting models to ensure performance, compliance, and reliability.
  • Promotes automation/optimization, self‑serve analytics adoption, and a culture of data‑driven decision making.
  • Monitors tool performance, manages UAT activities, and resolves technical or functional issues.
  • Integrates data from multiple sources to streamline processes, enhance analysis, and improve reporting efficiency.
  • Designs and produces recurring and ad‑hoc reports and dashboards.
  • Builds data visualizations and reporting solutions to communicate insights effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Develops tools and delivers training programs to enable non‑analytical users to adopt reporting and self‑serve analytics tools.
  • Documents and maintains procedures and processes related to analytics and reporting.
  • Supports business groups within BMO and, when required, provides insights with broader enterprise scope.
  • Provides specialized consulting, analytical, and technical expertise.
  • Exercises sound judgment to identify, diagnose, and resolve problems within established guidelines.
  • Demonstrates strong ownership and accountability; works independently or collaboratively while handling non‑routine situations.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant analytical experience (preferably within FinTech or banking), supported by a post‑secondary degree in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAS (including SAS Macros) and SQL.
  • Strong expertise in data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Fabric.
  • In‑depth experience with ETL processes, data preparation, data analysis, optimization, and automation.
  • Familiarity with additional statistical or analytical toolsets—such as Python, Spotfire, Tableau, R, MATLAB, and SPSS—considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated deep technical knowledge and analytical proficiency gained through extensive business experience.
  • Proven experience leading or owning LRC (Legal, Regulatory & Compliance) related deliverables.
  • Background in campaign analytics is required.
  • Knowledge of insurance is an asset.
  • Strong, demonstrated stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities.
  • Advanced analytical thinking and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.

Salary:

$69,000.00 - $129,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
