The Opportunity

Orrcon Steel is looking for a Quality Technician in our Technical team based in Salisbury. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands. 

This role sits as a support to the production and manufacturing teams to ensure compliance of our finished products and maintain our industry accreditations. Working closely with the operations teams, you will provide technical support and guidance and bring about any improvement processes when needed.

You will have access to various health and well-being initiatives including Employment Assistance Program, Employee Real Deals, on-site Physio and on-going learning, support and training.

What Will You Do?

As a Quality Technician, you will:

  • work with our operations teams to ensure compliance and quality standards are being met
  • provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams
  • investigate any quality issues that arise from both internal and external customers
  • support change and continuous process improvement
  • analyse and report on quality performance and issues

  • experience in assessing compliance in a similar environment
  • willingness to learn and develop your skills in a manufacturing environment
  • strong communication skills and ability to tailor communication to your audience
  • ability to work in a team environment
  • basic to intermediate computer and Microsoft Office skills
