Company Description

BlueScope Recycling is a full-service, ferrous scrap metal recycler with processing facilities in Waterloo, IN, Delta, OH, and Mansfield, OH. BlueScope Recycling buys scrap from industrial generators, wholesale suppliers, and the general public, focusing on delivering the highest level of service.

Summary: Preparation of information and analysis for performance monitoring and decision-making purposes across the business with significant interaction with business leads. Key responsibility for driving the business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes and delivering insights to improve business performance. The role also supervises the demand planning functions to optimize inventory management.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Provide regular financial reporting and analysis to senior management, highlighting key insights and trends to support decision-making.
  • Lead the annual long-range planning, budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, working closely with department heads that support strategic objectives.
  • Develop, transform, and maintain financial models to support long-term financial planning, and scenario analysis.
  • Evaluate financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and efficiencies in financial planning and reporting.
  • Lead a robust demand planning process to monitor inventory levels, by taking into consideration market prices trend and projections.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects to support business initiatives and strategic priorities.
  • Manage and mentor financial analyst(s), providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive finance experience.
  • Extensive experience in forecasting, management reporting and financial performance.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Solid written and oral communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
