We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Customer Services Representative. As the first point of contact, you'll be responsible for answering phones, addressing inquiries about our diverse range of recreational programs and activities. This multifaceted position also involves providing general assistance to patrons, performing clerical tasks, and handling data entry and retrieval duties crucial to supporting the efficient operation of our organization. This is a full time benefits eligible position. M-F 8am to 4:30pm. Starting wage $18/hr.

Responsibilities:
Respond to phone calls and route them accordingly; offer support to Recreation Commission patrons and the general public; furnish details about recreation programs and events; assist in monitoring calls, visitors, and correspondence.
Respond to public inquiries in a courteous manner; direct patrons and guests to program locations. Remind patrons about our online services/weather line as needed.
Operate a variety of office equipment including telephones, computers, and document centers.
Organize and file documents, reports, and correspondence; manage the registration system; contribute to the upkeep of relevant records.
Gather and process data; complete forms and maintain records; generate program rosters when required.
Enter patron information into registration software as required, handling both phone and in-person registration requests; facilitate transfers and manage refund preparations.
Order office supplies and managing lost and found
Assist those contacted in the course of duty in an effective, efficient, and professional manner.
May assume duties assisting supervisors, coordinators, and program assistants.
Regular and punctual attendance is required.
QualificationsQualifications:
One year of responsible secretarial and clerical experience.
High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
Must pass background check and drug screen.

Under Kansas State Statutes, voters formed Blue Valley Recreation Commission in 1986 to provide local recreation programs under the auspices of the Blue Valley School Board. Blue Valley Rec is a separate entity; the Board of Education certifies the Commission’s budget and appoints commissioners. The great partnership with the Blue Valley School District allows Blue Valley Rec to contain costs to patrons.
