About this role

Our Customer Advocates are the key to what we "do" at Blue Cross of Idaho! Join our team, providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, customer-focused contact center environment. We receive, research and respond to inquiries from members, providers, and BCI team members relating to benefit, claim or enrollment queries on our lines of business.

We're seeking Customer Advocates with:

  • Phenomenal verbal and written communication
  • Computer skills, such as Microsoft Office Suite, data entry, software applications, and intranet/internet navigation
  • Responds to inquiries from policyholders, providers and/or other for information and assistance.
  • Performs research to respond to inquiries and interprets policy provisions to determine most effective response.
  • Documents interactions through internal tracking system.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Work periodic overtime as requested. Work schedules will fall within hours of operation, Monday-Friday starting as early as 7pm or finishing as late as 7pm; some Saturdays 8a-12pm

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range is $19.45 to $27.23. The position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus (variable depending on company and employee performance).

The pay range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, travel requirements, internal equity, business or organizational needs, and alignment with market data. At Blue Cross of Idaho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for the position. Compensation decisions are dependent on factors and circumstances at the time of offer.
