블리자드 엔터테인먼트가 서울에 위치한 오버워치 개발팀에 합류할, 의욕 넘치고 경험 많은 시니어(Senior) 또는 리드(Lead)급 캐릭터 테크니컬 아티스트를 찾습니다.

이 포지션은 3D 캐릭터 아티스트, 컨셉 아티스트, 애니메이터 등 다양한 직군과 긴밀하게 소통하며 캐릭터가 완성되기까지의 전 제작 과정에 필요한 기술 지원을 제공하는 중요한 역할을 맡게 됩니다.

게임 개발 전반, 특히 캐릭터 리깅(Rigging)과 스키닝(Skinning)에 대한 깊이 있는 경험을 바탕으로, '게임플레이 우선'이라는 원칙 아래 영웅들을 위한 가장 효율적인 기술 솔루션을 구현하게 됩니다.

프로덕션 파이프라인과 유관 부서의 니즈에 맞춰 업무를 진행하며, 게임 디자인, 애니메이션, VFX 팀과도 원활하게 협력해야 합니다.

복잡한 리그(Rig)를 능숙하게 구축하고 모든 캐릭터의 시각적, 기술적 퀄리티를 최상으로 유지할 수 있는 분, 스키닝, 래그돌(Ragdoll), 해부학, 그리고 의상 및 헤어 시뮬레이션에 대한 깊은 이해와 Python 스크립트 활용 능력을 갖춘 분들의 많은 지원을 기다립니다.

Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a motivated and experienced Senior to Lead character technical artist to join its powerhouse Overwatch development team based in Seoul, Korea!

You will leverage your skills by providing support throughout the character production process, working closely with 3D character artists, concept artists and animators. 

Your broader experience with game development and character rigging and skinning will help you work collaboratively with artists and designers to ensure that you are always putting gameplay first when it comes to developing efficient solutions for our heroes.

Your work will be aligned to the needs of a production pipeline and teams we support, and you’ll work collaboratively with other departments including game design, animation, and VFX.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated artist who is able to build complex rigs and is capable of maintaining a high level of visual and technical quality for all characters and must have a strong understanding of skinning, ragdolls, anatomy, cloth / hair, and python script.

• 자체 게임엔진에서 클로스, 래그돌 시뮬레이션 제작
• 아트, 애니메이션, 게임 디자인, VFX 등 유관 부서와 협력하여 캐릭터 파이프라인 전반의 기술 지원 및 문제 해결

• Implement high-quality rigging and skinning for characters and weapons, guided by the "Gameplay First" principle.
• Build and maintain rigs to the highest visual and technical quality standards.
• Collaborate with Art, Animation, Game Design, and VFX teams to provide technical support and solve problems across the character pipeline.

지원자격 Minimum Requirements

경험 Experience

• Maya(또는 유사한 소프트웨어)에서 캐릭터 리깅/스키닝 작업을 최소 5년 이상 수행한 경력 (Maya 사용 경험이 우대됨)
• Python 또는 기타 프로그래밍 언어 사용 경험

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in rigging/skinning characters in Maya (preferably, or similar software)
• Experience in Python, or other programming languages

지식 및 기술 Knowledge & Skills

• 캐릭터 키네마틱스, 디포메이션, 토폴로지에 대한 깊은 이해
• 캐릭터 스키닝, 피직스 및 테크니컬 워크플로우에 대한 높은 수준의 숙련도
• Maya 툴 개발 및 파이프라인 설계 관련 지식

• Strong knowledge of character kinematics, deformations, and topology
• High proficiency in character Skinning, Physics, and Technical Workflows
• Knowledge on subjects such as Maya tool development and pipeline design
