Job Summary:
The Associate Director, Production will take point on managing production efforts for the China region. This role will focus on co-development opportunities with external partners, helping to drive the evolution and sustainability of our existing live service games, and owning the result of the co-development pipeline. You will work closely with global and regional stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality regional based contents and features, while contributing to strategic planning and execution across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own business results of all the co-development initiatives and be responsible for timely delivery and positive financial results.
- Drive production efforts for co-development initiatives with external partners.
- Define and maintain project roadmaps, track progress against milestones and proactively identify risks, blockers, and dependencies, planning mitigations as needed.
- Collaborate with central development teams to align development pipelines and priorities.
- Standardize process and status reporting methodologies, including key performance indicators (KPIs), to track progress, forecast milestones, and provide senior leadership with ongoing visibility into results.
- Provide leadership, support and guidance to direct or indirect teams, managing performance effectively and fostering a positive, collaborative work culture.
- Represent China-based initiatives in global planning and ensure regional needs are integrated into product strategy.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination across disciplines, ensuring progress, alignment, accountability, and regular updates on key projects and goals.
Minimum Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in AAA game development, with a strong background in production or similar role.
- Experience coordinating across art, design, engineering, and external development teams. to ensure smooth execution of business priorities and operational goals.
- Experience tracking complex projects and providing insight and influence into how to deliver more effectively and mitigate risks.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong foundation of software development lifecycle and operational execution.
- Familiarity with outsourcing/ExDev workflows and vendor management.
- Ability to work across time zones and cultures, with a global mindset.
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and strong proficiency in English required for effective communication with local and global teams.
