Job DetailsJob Location: Hartford Office - Hartford, CT 06103QualificationsTraffic/Transportation Engineer – Senior Technical   We are looking to hire a senior-level professional with 7+ years of experience to work with the Transportation group in our Hartford, CT office.   Responsibilities: Perform detailed engineering analysis tasks, such as traffic analysis; traffic signal sequencing, phasing and timing; traffic data collection; technical reports; and traffic modeling and simulation Prepare engineering plans including traffic signal design; intersection geometrics including Complete Streets principles; pavement markings and signage; and temporary traffic control and construction staging plans Assist in preparation of contract documents, including plans, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates Provide technical assistance and lead technical aspects on multiple and a variety of transportation and transportation related projects Provide responsive client service and strong communication, both internally and externally Supervise and complete traffic planning and engineering analyses, alternatives analysis and designs Prepare materials and attend project related meetings outside of the office with clients, agencies, and the public Attend client meetings, presentations and public hearings Maintain organized project files Provide technical guidance to junior staff and aids in the delegation of tasks   Required Experience: 7+ years of relevant traffic/transportation experience PE required, PTOE preferred Experience with traffic impact studies, corridor studies, signal design, and signing / pavement marking Experience using CADD (AutoCAD or MicroStation), Vissim, and Synchro Experience with Public Meetings or Forums preferred Management experience preferred     BL Companies is 100% employee owned, giving us a competitive edge and a unique distinction from most other companies.
