This attorney would be a demonstrated self-starter who is now looking for an environment to learn and to practice law on the cutting edge of digital assets and blockchain technology.&nbsp; This is a great opportunity for an attorney who looks to grow.</p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Draft and negotiate a wide range of prime brokerage, trading, and commercial contracts, including master lending agreements, account control agreements, external client agreements, and more.&nbsp;</li> <li>Working closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate building, delivery, and marketing of new products.</li> <li>Supporting international expansion of custody, trading, settlement and related businesses.</li> <li>Managing legal and regulatory risks in a thoughtful and commercially practicable manner.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Escalating issues to senior team members as appropriate.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Pitching in whenever and wherever needed, even when not directly related to responsibilities described above.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Requirements:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>4-6+ years of related law firm and/or in-house legal experience at a financial services or crypto company, ideally involving customer-facing sales, trading and/or custody.&nbsp; Must have at least 2 years of experience advising or negotiating against institutional clients at a large law firm or bulge bracket bank.</li> <li>Ability to balance multiple tasks in accordance with changing deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Ability to assess and balance legal risks against business interests.&nbsp;</li> <li>Interest in blockchain and digital assets.</li> <li>Flexible, “can-do” attitude and willingness to learn.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Experience advising on legal data privacy and security matters, including compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).</li> <li>Understanding of the laws and regulation applicable to (i) transaction settlement, clearing, and securities lending, (ii) securities and derivatives regulation, and (iii) regulations relating to extensions of credit such as Regs T, X and U.</li> <li>Experience with employment law matters, including drafting employment agreements and advising on HR issues.</li> <li>Knowledge of intellectual property matters, including software licensing and open-source considerations.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Join BitGo?</strong></p> <p>Disrupting an industry takes vision, innovation, passion, technical chops, drive to deliver, collaboration, and execution.
