<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong><br>The person holding this position is responsible for operating plant equipment and completing other plant tasks as required</p>
<p><strong>Principal Duties and Responsibilities:</strong><br>1. Maintains adequate flow of material in gob and limestone systems.<br>2. Performs all preventative maintenance of gob and limestone systems during normal operations and during assignments to maintenance including outages.<br>3. Maintains gob and limestone systems by way of consistent housekeeping and other areas as directed by the Shift Supervisor.<br>4. Demonstrates safe working habits, identifies hazards, and takes corrective actions as approved by Shift Supervisor.<br>5. Assists the O&M Technician as required.<br>6. Studies to become qualified as an O&M Technician and/or Maintenance Technician.<br>7. Work schedule is rotating shifts, and successful candidate must be available for emergency call-ins, for relief shift duty, and for temporary assignments to assist mechanics in the maintenance department.<br>8. Other duties as assigned.</p>
<p><strong>Required Job-Related Qualifications:</strong><br>1. High school or vocational school diploma, or equivalent.<br>2. Knowledge of general mechanical equipment, including knowledge of general maintenance functions and operating procedures.<br>3. Ability to start up, operate and shut down material handling and water systems in the local control modes to maintain plant safety, efficiency and production.<br>4. Ability to perform routine inspections, trouble shooting and corrective actions, and reports timely information to the Shift Supervisor.<br>5. Familiarity with job site practices and procedures.<br>6. Demonstrated skills in the use of hand tools.<br>7. Knowledge and understanding of:<br>• Mobile equipment<br>• Occupational hazards and standard safety precautions necessary in the work<br>• Basic maintenance and repair skills<br>8. Ability to handle a variety of power tools in a safe manner.<br>9. Ability, under proper supervision, to locate, correct and adjust defects in mobile equipment and mechanical machinery.<br>10. Basic knowledge of mechanical drawings and schematics.<br>11. Ability to communicate, both written and oral, clearly, logically, and accurately.<br>12. Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license required.</p>
