And our teams are constantly pushing boundaries and challenging the status quo in pursuit of a brighter future.</p> <p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p> <p>The Controllership team is in need of a dynamic Director of Accounting to help evolve the department from a late-stage start-up to a more mature and robust organization. We are looking for a leader who can provide operating results at the country level and global reporting to the Senior Leadership team.&nbsp; This position will play a key role in developing, implementing, and executing new accounting processes and systems, including optimizing our monthly close and financial reporting.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Consolidation of Global results with appropriate reviews of transfer pricing and intercompany transactions</li> <li>Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior managers by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points</li> <li>Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows. Improve workpaper documentation, support, and efficiency.</li> <li>Technical Accountant adept in researching accounting issues and drafting technical memos related to various areas including ASC 805 Business Combinations and Asset Acquisitions, Debt, Equity and Warrants, Segment Reporting, Impairment, Foreign Currency</li> <li>Oversee and support the accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity</li> </ul> <p><strong>Must Haves</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Finance or in a related discipline</li> <li>CPA certification or CA (chartered accountant)</li> <li>Big 4 public accounting experience with strong technical accounting skills</li> <li>Must have worked for an international firm with multi-country presence</li> <li>Experience rebuilding accounting department processes, streamlining and in scaling a team preferred</li> <li>Proficiency in Planful or similar EPM system</li> <li>10+ years of progressive work experience include at a Sr. Manager level and higher</li> </ul> <p><strong>Target Salary Hiring Range: </strong>$164,00 - $195,000</p> <h3><strong>Why Bird Matters</strong></h3> <p>Every time you hop on a Bird, you’re helping build a more livable city.
