About this role

As Value & Access and Corporate affairs Lead in S. Korea, you will be responsible for planning and implementing the strategies for reimbursement and pricing of Biogen products and corporate affairs; Lead health economics/outcome research project and shape the market access related government policies for patient access; Partner with a broad group of stakeholders such as payer, patient advocacy, KMEs and business partners to ensure that healthcare systems are prepared for treatment and drive strategic and systematic approach to patient engagement and incorporation of patient’s voice in our operations.

For Value & Access:

  • Develop the business cases and get endorsement from the Regional/ Global Pricing Committee and play as a contact window with Global/ Regional Value & Access
  • Reimburse Biogen’s innovative products in targeted timeline to accelerate and maximize Korean patient access
  • Develop the local value & access plan and lead pricing and reimbursement engagements with payers
  • Ensure that the local Value & Access activities comply with regulation, industry codes and Biogen policies and procedures
  • Ensure local access needs are collected, well understood, clearly and timely communicated, and HEOR programs are put in place to meet them
  • Anticipate the change in environment and more specifically on Government relations, Health economics and price strategy.
  • Ensure that the budget is strategically planned and ensures that appropriate cost controls are in place

For corporate affairs:

  • Support the General manager in the development and management of sustainable partnership with local government stakeholders and business partners
  • Manage corporate affairs campaigns in demonstrating Biogen values and elements
  • Plan and execute the corporate affairs strategy to shape the favorable environment for innovative diagnosis and treatment
  • Execution of the patient advocacy strategy and ensure alignment across a matrix environment
  • Bring patient insight into the organization by engaging patient advocacy groups
  • Participate in industry coalitions and industry groups to understand the development of policies and regulations
  • Keep up-to-date of healthcare policy change in Korean healthcare system to proactively evaluate its possible impact to reimbursement strategies
  • Establish partnerships and solutions with key stkeholders that are in line with company compliance and standards
  • Directs crisis management activities and recommends the appropriate action to minimize the impact on the company
     

Requirements

  • Strong track-record in Value & Access experience at a country level
  • Experience in RSA and the innovative reimbursement scheme
  • Have excellent presentation skills and be able to communicate technical pricing
  • Good interpersonal and interdisciplinary skills, ability to interact & engage internal and external customers
  • Good ability to rapidly assimilate information
  • Good ability to manage multi-tasks
  • Proficient reading, speaking, and writing skills in English
  • Bachelors degree; 10+ years of work experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
  • PAG communication experience preferred
  • Corporate affairs experience preferred
