Respiratory Therapist (RRT) 

Full Time (36 hours), 1st Shift

The Baptist Health Respiratory Care department helps patients breathe better and live healthier. Our expert team provides personalized care and advanced treatments for conditions like asthma and COPD. We offer comprehensive pulmonary function testing, advanced ventilator management, pulmonary rehabilitation programs, asthma and COPD education and management, and 24/7 emergency respiratory care. Our dedicated professionals deliver high-quality, compassionate care using state-of-the-art treatment plans. 

Description: 

  • Medication administration via aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, percussion and postural drainage, non-invasive ventilation, mechanical ventilation, CPR, bedside pulmonary function screening, and arterial blood gases. 

  • Able to perform in all emergency situations and provide intubation, if applicable

Requirements: 

  • Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) 

  • Associate's degree 

  • Must be licensed by the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Kentucky and in accordance with the provisions of KRS chapter 314A 

  • Must maintain an active BLS. [within 30 days of hire if not already active] 

  • Must obtain PALs and NRP within 6 months
