About the Role

 

 

 

  • Reporting to the Supervisor of the Fixed Plant Mechanical, your role will be a combination of underground and surface fixed plant mechanical work.
  • You will be involved in executing planned and unplanned maintenance tasks, as well as helping to ensure any plant downtime issues are escalated and actioned effectively.
  • Please note this position is based at Leinster, operating on a 7 days on / 7 off roster, FIFO from Perth with residential options available.

 

In this role you will:

 

  • Promote and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day
  • Assist with any planned maintenance and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Provide mechanical trade skills to perform unplanned or breakdown maintenance on Fixed Plant
  • Work with your team to a high level of accountability and be able to build productive team relationships
  • Provide Feedback to the Maintenance Supervisors on job progress

About You

 

  • Willingness and capacity to work underground and surface based
  • Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way
  • Mechanical trade qualifications  (Australian Recognised) combined with experience in Fixed Plant 
  • Underground fixed plant experience highly regarded
  • MHS, primary dewatering and ventilation experience highly regarded
  • Experience on winders and headframes a bonus
  • SAP/Fiori experience beneficial
  • Rigger, Dogger, Crane, Forklift and Bridge & Gantry tickets also advantageous
  • Solid time management skills and ability to prioritise
  • A proactive team player who is also self-motivated and able to work effectively unsupervised
