About the Role
- Reporting to the Supervisor of the Fixed Plant Mechanical, your role will be a combination of underground and surface fixed plant mechanical work.
- You will be involved in executing planned and unplanned maintenance tasks, as well as helping to ensure any plant downtime issues are escalated and actioned effectively.
- Please note this position is based at Leinster, operating on a 7 days on / 7 off roster, FIFO from Perth with residential options available.
In this role you will:
- Promote and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day
- Assist with any planned maintenance and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Provide mechanical trade skills to perform unplanned or breakdown maintenance on Fixed Plant
- Work with your team to a high level of accountability and be able to build productive team relationships
- Provide Feedback to the Maintenance Supervisors on job progress
About You
- Willingness and capacity to work underground and surface based
- Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way
- Mechanical trade qualifications (Australian Recognised) combined with experience in Fixed Plant
- Underground fixed plant experience highly regarded
- MHS, primary dewatering and ventilation experience highly regarded
- Experience on winders and headframes a bonus
- SAP/Fiori experience beneficial
- Rigger, Dogger, Crane, Forklift and Bridge & Gantry tickets also advantageous
- Solid time management skills and ability to prioritise
- A proactive team player who is also self-motivated and able to work effectively unsupervised
