About the Role

 

Reporting to Superintendent Mine Production Engineering, this role involves facilitating risk assessments and safety investigations, supporting the Mine’s material risk program, and maintaining documented safe ways of working.

 

 

Based at Olympic Dam on an 8 days on / 6 days off roster, you can elect to reside residentially in Roxby Downs or FIFO from Adelaide.

 

 

In this role you will:
 

  • Organise and facilitate event investigations;

  • Be a member of the Mine Risk Audit Committee (MRAC) Working Group for material risk & critical control;

  • Support Mine Production Manager with their material risk portfolio;

  • Support Mine Production Superintendents with their critical controls;

  • Managing actions and uploading into the event management system, including Flex and SAP event reporting;

  • Understand relevant legislation to align documented safe ways of working, incorporating current and industry-best practices

 

About You

 

To be successful in the role:

 

  • Underground knowledge and experience is preferred;

  • You must be able to work independently and have experience meeting individual and team KPIs;

  • Strong communication skills which allow effective engagement with the frontline and all levels of management;

  • Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way;

  • Attention to detail and the demonstrated ability to work with data.
