About the Role

 

Reporting to the Project Controls Lead, you will support the Project execution capability required to deliver the Project Delivery Team’s portfolio of projects through the detail engineering and construction phase in support of CuSA growth strategy. Your primary function is delivering the planning and scheduling of project activities including developing, maintaining and tracking engineering and construction project schedules as well as reviewing of Contractor report and performance, whist contributing to the broader success of the projects.

 

 

 

This role is based at Carrapateena 4 days (Mon-Thu) fortnightly basis and other working days with flexibility to work hybrid.

 

 

 

In this role you will:

 

  • Maintain detail schedules to support site construction activities (working with the project managers) in conjunction with the Master Schedule

  • Support and assist the project management team to assess changes to project planning inputs and translating these changes into the project master schedule

  • Review and assess schedule information provided by Contractors including key commodity, progress & manning curves

  • SPI and CPI earned value analysis for site construction activities

  • Maintain accurate schedule records to assist in the evaluation of time and cost claims

  • Monitoring and updating accurate schedule progress to ensure project Master Schedule reflects best forecast information and informing the project management team of changes to schedule outcome

  • Maintain site accommodation profile (demand and supply)

  • Assist in developing and recording the project’s historical schedule information and “lessons learned” for use in project closeout reporting and projects

 

About You

 

  • Significant demonstrated experience in a project planning role, ideally within mining, heavy industry or oil and gas

  • Experience working across small to major projects and the flexibility to adapt across deliverables

  • Exposure to logistics and coordination in a project environment

  • Strong knowledge of planning & scheduling and Work Management process

  • Understanding of mobile and fixed plant would be advantageous

  • Experience with P6, Microsoft Project and Power BI

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to influence

  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills

  • The ability to work well as a part of a team, and deliver results
