The engineering technician electric provides cost estimating, design, work instructions, and coordination of extensions or modifications of electric distribution facilities. The engineering technician electric applies established engineering standards and practices for routine projects in the following areas: determining pipe, cable, and equipment sizes due to customer and system loads; project design alternatives and their associated costs; project timing and coordination; procurement of materials and field inspection; and all other assigned duties.
