Join our team as a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a strong background in trauma-focused therapy and ideally experience working with Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) and Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) clients. You will provide psychotherapy services to individuals coping with trauma, chronic pain, adjustment difficulties, and injury-related psychological conditions.
Evening availability is required. This role will be based out of our Hamilton office.
Key Responsibilities
Provide trauma-informed psychotherapy to clients affected by MVA- and WSIB-related injuries
Assess and treat conditions such as PTSD, acute stress disorder, anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders
Utilize evidence-based trauma modalities (e.g., CBT, TF-CBT, EMDR, CPT, ACT, somatic approaches)
Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Maintain timely, accurate, and professional clinical documentation, including insurer-required reports
Communicate effectively with insurers, case managers, lawyers, and other healthcare providers when required
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, psychologists, physiotherapists, chiropractors, and occupational therapists
Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with regulatory college requirements
Provide evening appointments as part of the regular clinical schedule
Registration in good standing with one of the following:
College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), or
Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
Specialized training and clinical experience in trauma-focused therapy
Experience working with MVA and WSIB populations is a strong asset
Strong understanding of insurance-based treatment models and documentation requirements
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Evening availability is mandatory
