The Opportunity

BETA is a self-clearing securities processing solution for wealth management firms.  Built on years of expert knowledge and hands-on experience, BETA provides critical back-office controls including corporate action management, middle office exception management, and front office account management and trading tools for advisors.

We are seeking an Associate Software Engineer with exposure in development of cloud-hosted web applications. In this role, you will primarily work with Angular 16+, AWS, NodeJs, DynamoDB, REST API Microservices, GitLab for repository and CI/CD. Exposure with GraphQL, and OpenSearch is a plus. As an entrant developer Associate, you will collaborate with senior developers and technical leads to learn best practices, contribute to feature development, and gain hands-on experience in a live production environment.

About the Team

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Engineering, this role is part of a Scrum team for developing customer facing cloud hosted UI application. This role necessitates interactions and requires heavy collaboration within and across teams that are spread across geography. Our business model is hybrid, working from our Bangalore campus.

• · Assist in developing new features and improving existing ones.
• · Write clean, maintainable code under guidance from senior developers.
• · Learn and apply secure coding practices.
• · Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback.
• · Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, and deploy solutions.
• · Work with product and design teams to understand requirements and implement technical solutions.
• · Debug and fix bugs under supervision.
• · Document code and processes for future reference.
• · Stay updated with emerging technologies and frameworks.
• · Show willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Required Qualifications:

• · Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• · Strong understanding of web development fundamentals.
• · Knowledge of: 
  • Ø Angular (preferably Angular 16+)
  • Ø Node.js
  • Ø AWS basics
  • Ø REST API concepts
  • Ø Git/GitLab
• · Familiarity with Agile development practices.

 Preferred Qualifications:

• · Exposure to GraphQL, OpenSearch.
• · Basic understanding of automated testing (Jasmine/Karma).
• · Knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell.
