About the opportunity:

Best Way Stone is currently recruiting a Customer Service Specialist for our Uxbridge location to fill an upcoming retirement. This role supports customers by providing product information, answering inquiries, and resolving concerns, while acting as a key point of contact between customers, sales and operations.  

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of previous customer-facing customer service experience, including in-person interaction with customers.
  • Strong problem-solving, math, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions (emails, phone calls, in-person inquiries).
  • High attention to detail for accurate order entry and tracking.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Knowledge of pre-cast concrete landscaping products is an asset.

 

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Approach customer interactions with a problem-solving mindset and clear, respectful communication
  • Stay organized and focused while balancing detailed work and frequent interruptions
  • Work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  

Some of the responsibilities for this role include:

  • Entering and confirming purchase orders, including phone and fax orders
  • Responding to customer, dealer, and contractor inquiries
  • Supporting the sales team with customer-related requests
  • Processing cash and credit card transactions and balancing daily payments
  • Assisting customers with product selection, delivery coordination, and payment
  • Performing tractor-trailer load checks prior to delivery
  • Assisting with special projects as assigned.

 

Hours will vary with business demands and may range from 7am start to 4pm or 5pm finish time. Overtime is frequent during peak selling months from May to September. The role works Monday to Friday, with Saturdays being required during peak selling months.
