Bessemer Trust, a leading multi-family office, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Event Manager to manage overall guest experience at our events.
The Event Strategy & Operations Manager will be a member of the Bessemer Trust 15-member Marketing & Client Engagement Department, which is responsible for delivering the Bessemer Trust brand to existing and prospective clients, and centers of influence (COI) across multiple channels. The Event Strategy & Operations Manager serves as the Director of Events’ primary partner in delivering exceptional, consistent, and brand-aligned event experiences across Bessemer. This role translates the Director’s strategic vision into scalable processes, oversees complex event operations, and ensures the seamless execution of national and regional programming. It is a high-responsibility position requiring strong judgment, sound decision-making, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to represent Bessemer events with the highest level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
- Offer ongoing strategic support to the Director of Events, including ad-hoc requests from executive-level management.
- Serve as the Director’s key operational partner, coordinating with the Events team on select tasks.
- Partner with colleagues to support the planning, development, and execution of a wide range of events, including conferences, breakfasts, luncheons, cocktail receptions, dinners, sporting events, and sponsorships.
- Oversee planning and management of unique and more complex events.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive event metrics and post-event reporting, including attendance, engagement, and demographic information, in partnership with business analyst teams.
- Provide actionable insights, detailed analysis, and recommendations to inform broader planning efforts and optimize future events.
- Liaise with IT specialists and the Events team, coordinating specific tool functionality and integrations.
- Improve internal processes, timelines, and tools to drive consistency and efficiency.
- Support team development by sharing best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, with ~15 years of corporate event management experience; experience within the financial services or wealth management industry is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrates a highly collaborative approach to event planning, supported by a strong understanding of the business, key stakeholders, and external partners, ensuring events are strategically aligned and thoughtfully executed.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee complex, high-visibility events, leading end-to-end planning and on-site execution with a high standard of quality and precision.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
- Strong operational and analytical skills, with experience providing insights, metrics, and post-event reporting to inform planning and optimize future programs.
- Working knowledge of event technology platforms and tools, with experience partnering with IT teams on system functionality, integrations, and enhancements.
- Highly enthusiastic, energetic, and service-oriented professional with a strong commitment to excellence.

The base salary range for this position is $170K - $210K. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skills, experience, and qualification for the role. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.
In addition, this position may be eligible for a discretionary incentive-based bonus based on individual and company performance.
