Ranked amongst the UK's 15 Best Big Companies to Work For in 2025, we offer fantastic career and development opportunities within a rapidly growing, innovative Group — where all profits go to charity and good causes.</p><hr><h4>What you'll be doing</h4><ul><li><p>Develop strong, long-term relationships with a portfolio of clients, managing their accounts in a way that meets their specific servicing needs</p></li><li><p>Prepare renewal schedules and proactively contact clients ahead of deadlines, ensuring compliance needs are met and a smooth renewal process is achieved.</p></li><li><p>Negotiate alternative quotes before renewal dates, offering clients valuable options and tailored solutions</p></li><li><p>Handle all documentation - including invoices and credit notes - with accuracy and efficiency</p></li><li><p>Manage claims promptly and within regulatory timescales, by utilising our central service claims team.</p></li><li><p>Build and maintain positive relationships with Insurance companies and colleagues within our various Lycett’s departments.</p></li><li><p>Operate an effective credit control process and provide timely reporting as required</p></li><li><p>Support operational needs of the business when requested to do so to enhance teamwork and collaboration.</p></li></ul><h4>What you'll need to have</h4><ul><li><p>Good organisational ability</p></li><li><p>Previous broking experience preferably specialising in farm &amp; estate, household and liability insurance</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of wide range of commercial insurance products and companies</p></li><li><p>Experience in obtaining information from clients via telephone &amp; e-mail</p></li><li><p>Experience in obtaining quotes and placing business</p></li><li><p>Confident communications skills – both written &amp; oral</p></li><li><p>Good negotiating skills and the ability to build good relationships with both clients and insurers/underwriters</p></li><li><p>Sound knowledge of FCA requirements within a broking role</p></li></ul><hr><h4>What we offer</h4><ul><li><p>A competitive salary - let's discuss it</p></li><li><p>Hybrid working available upon successful completion of probation</p></li><li><p>Employer pension contribution of 5% rising to 10% after 5 years membership of the pension scheme</p></li><li><p>Annual Bonus scheme (Discretionary based on individual and company performance)</p></li><li><p>Life Assurance cover up to 4 x salary, and Group Income Protection scheme up to 65% of salary</p></li><li><p>25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (rising to 26 and 27 for 5 and 10 years’ service respectively)</p></li><li><p>Career development opportunities with funded support and financial incentives for all professional qualifications.</p></li><li><p>An Employee Assistance Programme with a wide range of benefits helping employees to stay healthy and feel supported.</p></li></ul><hr><h4>About us</h4><p><span><strong>The Lycetts Group </strong>has over 60 years’ experience of providing a comprehensive range of insurance, risk management and financial advice to a broad cross section of commercial and private clients.
