The Sr. Director – Corporate Security is responsible for the development and execution of the organization’s enterprise-wide security risk management strategy, emergency preparedness and related programs. Specifically, this position is responsible for all aspects of security risk management with respect to the viability and survivability of the enterprise: financial, operational and strategic.
Typical duties include:
• In close collaboration with senior business and functional leaders, develop, implement, and manage a formal, documented, risk-driven, enterprise-wide security strategy.
• Understand and assess the risks, threats and vulnerabilities confronting the organization and continuously align business and security resources behind these in a prioritized, risk-driven manner.
• Develop and direct the organizations workplace violence prevention initiatives.
• Lead and direct the organization’s preparation for events that could disrupt the continuity of business operations, including targeted attacks (e.g., physical, cyber, informational), natural events (e.g., floods, earthquakes, hurricanes) and criminal activity (e.g., fraud, embezzlement, theft).
• Ensure the security of the organization’s financial, physical and intangible assets through a balanced, holistic and integrated approach to the following: People, Process, and Technology. • Manage, plan and forecast the operational and capital budgets for the Corporate security program.
• Maintain effective liaison with all internal and external stakeholders in the viability and success of the enterprise, including foreign, national, state and local law enforcement, intelligence, homeland security and industry regulatory agencies and their representatives as well as, where appropriate, media, investors, shareholders and strategic business partners, which will require working with other Ben E. Keith groups such as Risk, Legal, Communications and HR.
Job Qualifications:
• Exceptional leadership skills including visioning, strategic planning and critical thinking.
• Knowledge of every critical domain, including program strategy and structure; leadership, staffing and organization; finance and budget management; policies, procedures and protocols; technologies and technical systems; physical security; awareness; training; stakeholder communication; and benchmarking against organizations comparable in size, industry focus or business model.
• Knowledge of command center operations, communications, and protective intelligence collection and analysis
. • Understanding of planning frameworks, such as the National Response Plan, to prevent/mitigate, prepare for, respond to and recover from an event that could range from acts of targeted violence to natural disasters.
• Planning required to achieve the three elements of business continuity: organizational resilience, recovery and contingency.
• Planning, design and implementation of a customized protective security program for key executives and high-risk locations.
• Oversight, support, planning and continual updates for travel-related security bulletins, alerts, tips and guidance for company employees on business travel.
• Implementation and management of enterprise-wide initiatives including active shooter planning; behavioral threat assessment; threat management strategies and support; policy development; and employee training and awareness across all businesses.
• Development of a program to leverage online research, assessment and monitoring of multiple websites, online discussions, chat rooms, message boards, talkbacks and dozens of other forums to uncover issues impacting the company and its assets, employees, brands and reputation. Integration of this with other security program components.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience working and/or leading a corporate or government security program; advanced degrees in law, business administration, accounting and finance, security management, information systems management or criminal justice; and Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designations.
