Position Summary:

Drive operational excellence in credit operations by providing strategic support to Division and National Account Credit Teams through credit analysis, customer master data management, and sales tax compliance. This role combines analytical expertise with cross-functional collaboration to enhance credit decision-making, ensure data integrity, and maintain regulatory compliance while optimizing operational efficiency.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Data & Analytics Excellence

  • Customer Data Governance: Partner with Division and National Account Credit Teams to maintain comprehensive customer master data integrity, ensuring compliance with established governance frameworks and data quality standards
  • Credit Analysis Support: Enable Division and National Account Credit Teams by expediting the flow of credit applications received from prospective customers, including collection and verification of credit information necessary to make informed credit terms decisions
  • Reporting & Insights: Generate, analyze, and distribute ad-hoc reports as required, identifying trends and providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making

 

Process Optimization & Compliance

  • System Management: Process the setup of customer accounts in database systems and creation of customer files, ensuring all credit data is recorded, including verification and documentation of customer taxability
  • Tax Compliance: Collaborate with Division and National Account Credit Teams on sales tax certificate database management, monitoring compliance and proactively managing certificate collection and validation processes
  • Policy Implementation: Assist management in credit policy administration and ensure consistent application across all customer interactions
  • Ability to deliver results according to established SLA’s

 

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Team Integration: Serve as additional capacity for Division and National Account Credit Teams, assisting with administrative duties and providing vacation coverage while maintaining service levels
  • Database Support: Update customer database records as requested to meet operational needs of Division and National Account Credit Teams
  • Relationship Building: Make deliberate effort to maintain relationships with Company's Credit Teams while delivering exceptional external customer service
  • Project Collaboration: Participate in special projects, process improvements, and system implementations as assigned

 

Strategic Support

  • Vendor Management: Assist in completion of vendor information packets and support supplier onboarding processes
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure customer credit files are maintained in a consistent and complete manner across all credit operations
  • Customer Relations: Maintain positive internal and external customer relations
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation, process enhancement, and efficiency gains

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in credit analysis, financial services, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience supporting multiple business segments simultaneously

 

Technical Competencies

  • Advanced Excel Skills: Pivot tables, complex formulas, data visualization, and analysis
  • Database Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems and customer relationship management tools
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Expert-level Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook capabilities
  • Learning Agility: Ability to quickly master proprietary applications and systems
  • Experience using Bectran credit application platform and SAP a plus

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver's license for business travel
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Flexibility for occasional work outside standard business hours

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
