Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
Position Summary
The Attendance, Truancy, Intervention & Prevention (ATIP) Coordinator provides comprehensive Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 attendance support across multiple schools. At the Tier 3 level, the ATIP Coordinator delivers individualized interventions for students with persistent attendance challenges, acts as the school’s attendance expert, and partners closely with families, staff, and external agencies. Responsibilities include family outreach, attendance planning, data monitoring, professional development, truancy court attendance, and collaboration with school teams to reduce or prevent truancy. The ATIP Coordinator works in partnership with school leadership, Family Support Services, Special Education, Project Go, DHS, and other community agencies to address barriers and improve student attendance outcomes.

Support school operations and culture teams to ensure daily attendance is accurate and consistently documented. Examples include:
Sample Day in the Life
7:45–9:30 AM – Support arrival, check in with students, contact guardians of caseload students who are absent or late
9:30–10:00 AM – Respond to emails
10:00–11:00 AM – Building walkthrough, positive student reinforcement, staff check-ins
11:00 AM–1:30 PM – Attendance meetings, home visits, cross-team collaboration (FSS, Admin, etc.), SAIP meetings
LUNCH
2:00–3:45 PM – Update trackers, SAIPs, guardian contact notes, and daily attendance documentation
