Warehouse Associate - DS

Job Functions

  • Requires good mental abilities and attitude to solve problems and maintain customer service standards. 
  • Ability to plan and prioritize, problem solve and multi-task as necessary to meet customer demand in a fast- paced environment
  • Use of a hand -held RF scanner and familiarity with WMS is needed
  • Load and unload trucks, and palletize products and material using a variety of material-handling equipment
  • Verify accuracy of shipment and record any discrepancies and/or damage.
  • Label and take goods to appropriate storage area using material-handling equipment
  • Assemble containers/crates or skids and stretch wrap to complete put away.
  • Operate a variety of material-handling tool including pallet jack, reach lift truck, walkie rider and double pallet jack.
  • Pick, label and pack orders using scanning technology
  • Assist with cycle counts using radio frequency technology
  • Assist with general warehouse housekeeping and any other duties as required
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with those on your team, as well as cross-functionally

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • • High School and/or equivalent years of experience
  • • Specific Training: Training in use of forklift and motorized pallet jack
  • • 2 or more years of applicable experience
  • • Specific work or project experience: Experience with PKMS Warehouse Management System
  • • Industry experience: Manufacturing, Warehouse, Logistics, Parcel/Shipping

Knowledge / Skills Requirements:
EX: Proficient in Excel and Access; able to type "X" words a minute; understanding of retail store operations

  • Effective time management in order to meet dynamic goals and deadlines
  • Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to read and understand policies/procedures and communicate them to employees
  • Operate standard business equipment, including PC, phone, calculator, etc.
  • Operate handheld scanner and associated equipment
  • Operate specialized computer hardware and software including (but not limited to) Warehouse Management System, Item Database, Yard Management System, etc.

Physical Requirements:
Describe any physical requirements of job. EX: ability to stand for majority of work day; ability to communicate clearly in English; ability to lift up to 50 lbs. above shoulder level, etc.

  • Ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach, and move freely around the facility
