BHSN, one of the fastest growing organizations providing whole person care in the region, is in search of passionate individuals to join our rapidly growing team. 

The Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications will work closely with the Marketing Director in the creation and execution of marketing, PR and advertising needs for 25 programs across the organization. We are seeking a creative, strategic thinker and a hands-on content creator. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this person plays a crucial role in shaping BHSN’s storytelling and community image. 


Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 4:00PM - weekends and evenings when necessary

What your day might look like:

  • Content Strategy & Creation: Develop and produce content that reflects our brand—designed to perform well across platforms (email, website, socials, print, etc.) and resonate with modern audiences.
  • Website: Help curate website content as well as find new and creative ways to leverage our online presence.
  • Paid Advertising Management: Develop and oversee media plans to reach target audience, manage advertising contracts and budgets, and ensure timely delivery of ad creative.
  • Brand & Visual Assets: Coordinate the ordering and creation of branded items from marketing fliers to uniforms and swag.
  • Photography & Video: Capture and curate photography and video assets that elevate our visual storytelling.
  • Social Media: Help create content for and monitor our social media platforms while creatively addressing overall messaging and organizational goals.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Contribute to long-term campaign planning and storytelling themes in partnership with programs across the organization.
  • Events: Creating, planning and running community and organization events.

Your skills and qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, PR, or content strategy.
  • A deep understanding of digital marketing and how to effectively leverage a variety of platforms for storytelling and audience engagement.
  • Strong writing and editorial skills with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Ability to analyze digital marketing performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for mental & behavioral health.
  • Understanding of how to tailor content to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and occasionally work evenings/weekends for special events.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (for helping with set up of events).
