BDO Securities- Research Analyst (Equities)

 

The Research Group supports BDO’s securities, private banking, investment banking, and treasury businesses by providing timely and relevant insights to investors, institutions, and corporations.

 

The Research Analyst is responsible for preparing equity research reports that offer actionable investment ideas and for assisting in marketing activities for institutional and retail clients, in compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fundamental analysis of stocks and other securities to assess investment suitability. This includes reviewing financial statements, building financial models, performing sector comparisons, and analyzing industry and macroeconomic trends.
  • Monitor industry developments and economic indicators through public sources, company interviews, and third-party checks.
  • Prepare written research reports and communicate investment recommendations clearly and accurately.
  • Maintain updated documentation of reports, models, and databases to support the research function.
  • Assist in preparing regular market and equity presentations for retail and institutional clients.
  • Participate in marketing activities in support of BDO’s businesses, ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management, Economics, Financial Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience in financial analysis, investment research, or data mining is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Background in brokerage operations, trust administration, or wealth management within a banking environment is highly desirable.
  • Professional certifications such as CFA Level 1 or Trust Officer accreditation are an advantage
  • Candidates with prior exposure brokerage or trust units of banks will have an advantage.

 

The candidate must be willing to work onsite in Ortigas.
