We are on the lookout for a talented Communications Specialist, that will report to the Director, Public Affairs and Communications, to join our dynamic team and help us achieve our communication goals. Responsibilities:
• Content Creation: Develop and manage content for various communication channels, including newsletters, press releases, social media, and internal communications.
• Brand Management: Ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all platforms.
• Internal and External Communications: Write and edit internal and external communication materials, including emails, announcements, and newsletters.
• Campaign Management: Plan and execute communication campaigns to support company initiatives and events.
• Social Media: Manage and create content for social media platforms to engage and grow our audience.
• Graphic Design: Create and distribute graphics for internal and external use, including social media, flyers, and promotional materials.
• Event Support: Assist in planning and promoting company events and conferences.
• Analytics: Analyze and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns, using data to inform future planning.
• Project Management: Provide support for various communication projects, ensuring timely and effective execution.
• Ad hoc projects as required.
Work Location : Bayshore Healthcare, National Office, Mississauga ON
Hybrid – At least 2 days onsite weekly
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in a communications role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools and social media platforms (Hootsuite, Canva, Mailchimp).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Creative and innovative mindset.
• Desire and ability to be successful in a contract role.
