We’re looking for a Purchasing Lead to support our Transitional Care Units (TCUs) across Ontario. TCUs are 24/7 facilities that help patients transition from hospital to home or community care.

As Purchasing Lead, you’ll play a key role in ensuring these units have the supplies, equipment, and services they need to operate smoothly. You’ll report directly to the Purchasing Manager and work closely with clinical teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

·       Manage purchasing of healthcare supplies, equipment, and services (e.g., movers, repair technicians).

·       Track inventory and implement efficient inventory management processes.

·       Build and maintain strong vendor relationships.

·       Monitor supplier performance and negotiate competitive rates.

·       Support start‑up of new facilities with procurement planning.

·       Oversee equipment maintenance, asset tagging, and auditing.

·       Collaborate with clinical managers to ensure proper ordering and receiving practices.

·       Contribute to ERP system development and continuous improvement initiatives.



Education

·       Post‑secondary education in business, supply chain, purchasing, or logistics.

·       APICS certifications (CPIM, CSCP, CLTD) or Lean Six Sigma are assets.

Experience

·       5+ years in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain management.

·       Healthcare experience is an asset.

·       Strong knowledge of supply chain activities (strategic sourcing, contract management, order management).
