This research study is a partnership with Discipleship Ministries of The United Methodist Church to inform their new Lilly-funded project, Growing in Grace: Accessible Worship for All God’s Children. The purpose of the study is to examine the experiences and views of pastors and congregations related to the participation of children with disabilities in worship services and other church activities. We are looking for a research assistant to assist with two aspects of this project: (a) surveying congregation members in dozens of Methodist churches from across the country and (b) scheduling and supporting focus group interviews with pastor. We are looking for someone who is strong on initiative, can communicate effectively, and has meticulous attention to detail. Publication opportunities may be available.
